Fortunately, the Milk

Fortunately, the Milk - Neil Gaiman, Skottie Young Gaiman silliness with Skottie Young illustrations, what could be better?

Siege Line

Siege Line - Myke Cole A fine finale to the trilogy. I didn't see the villain twist coming, which means I was invested in the story and not overthinking it.

Autonomous

Autonomous - Annalee Newitz Did not finish this one. Interesting premise not well explored, characters should've been more interesting than I found them.

The Blade Itself

The Blade Itself - Joe Abercrombie Slow starter but I want to know more. Full review here:

Amazing Spider-Man Volume 1

Amazing Spider-Man Volume 1 - Marvel Comics Call it 3.5. I'm fine with Slott's work, and I enjoy Ramos's art.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur Vol. 2: Cosmic Cooties

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur Vol. 2: Cosmic Cooties - Amy Reeder, Brandon Montclare, Marco Failla, Natacha Bustos :D

Doctor Strange, Vol. 2: The Last Days of Magic

Doctor Strange, Vol. 2: The Last Days of Magic - Jason Aaron Still good, but not as great as the first volume.

Legendary Star-Lord Volume 1: Face It, I Rule

Legendary Star-Lord Volume 1: Face It, I Rule - Sam Humphries, Paco Medina, Freddie Williams Solid enough story with good art. Mostly setting up the event that followed, though, so you may want to check out The Black Vortex at the same time.

Uprooted

Uprooted - Naomi Novik Enjoyed it quite a bit, though it didn't compel me to read it straight through or anything. Well worth the time though.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man (A Marvel YA Novel)

Miles Morales: Spider-Man (A Marvel YA Novel) - Jason Reynolds, Kadir Nelson I'll post a review closer to the pub date, but this was pretty intense. Surprisingly deep look at race for a YA Spider-Man book.

James Bond: Hammerhead

James Bond: Hammerhead - Andy Diggle Classic James Bond adventure. Andy Diggle has it down, and the art is spare but solid. I do love Francesco Francavilla's covers.

Star Wars: Darth Vader Vol. 1

Star Wars: Darth Vader Vol. 1 - Salvador Larocca, Kieron Gillen Re-establishes Darth Vader as the badass from the original trilogy, and introduces some amazing new characters to the canon, Doctor Aphra, 0-0-0 and BT-1. What's not to love?

Real Friends

Real Friends - Shannon Hale, LeUyen Pham Okay, wasn't expecting the feels to hit me here, but there you go. Great book for anyone who's ever felt like the outcast at school, or lost in the shuffle, or that you would never figure out the whole friends thing. Full review later.

Red Sister

Red Sister - Mark Lawrence Our heroine is basically a magical Laura Kinney that's a nun. What's not to love? Full review here:

X-Men Legacy - Volume 1: Prodigal (Marvel Now)

X-Men Legacy - Volume 1: Prodigal (Marvel Now) - Simon Spurrier Great covers, decent interior art, somewhat dodgy writing. Still, a good read if you are curious after watching the Legion pilot.

Future Quest Vol. 1

Future Quest Vol. 1 - Jeff Parker, Evan Shaner I don't have a TON of nostalgia for the old Hanna-Barbera shows - I watched a bit of Space Ghost (pre-Coast to Coast) and a minor amount of Jonny Quest, but this book is a ton of fun. Volume 1 is mostly set up and introducing the various characters - handy if you need it.
